Kaela Turns 7

It was Kaela's birthday this week. She turned 7. It's hard to believe this tall, beautiful little thing is growing up so fast. Here's a pic with Grandma Barbara, who came bearing gifts!!
We kidnapped Kaela and took her to Sweet Tomatoes (restaurant of her choice, not ours) for a birthday dinner.
So happy about her soft serve icecream. I think the solution to all children's worries is unlimited access to a soft serce icecream machine!
Grandma Shirley brought the birthday loot! Always a favorite amongst the kids.
Grandma Linda called and told Kaela to check the mail. There she found one more pot of God!! Thanks, Grandma and Grandpas. We love you!!

Photo series continued

Have you ever gone blogging and then said to yourself, "where have I been?" I love to see some of the creative blogs out there, but I am continually amazed at how creative and experienced some of these bloggers are. I look at their links list and think, "look how many people they know that blog!" So, this is a thanks to all you bloggers out there that have inspired me!! I continue to learn and be inspired by you!!

July 4th we went to the Stadium of Fire. It was fun, but I think the kids were pretty tired from sleeping over at Grandma Bs the night before. Miley Cyrus was a bit of a dissapointment (with all that hair swinging she did.) The sound in the stadium wasn't very good. Maybe it was the wind or something. We'll give you the benefit of the doubt Miley!
Oops, poo gwang le Mom!
This part was pretty cool!
The fireworks were great and the stadium really seemed liked it was on fire--all the smoke!!

Playtime!

With Troy and the boys gone to scout camp and Anna up at Snowbird with Cambria, Kaela, Emma, and I have had some time on our hands. We decided to play!!

Yesterday we went to the mall . Kaela and Emma picked out new outfits for their Build-a-bears. We saw a lot of scarry people!!! Kaela kept switching sides of the stroller so she wouldn't be near any of the weirdos. Man, and were there weirdos! Where do those people come from? I think the only other place you see them is at amusement parks.

We ended the night with a sleepover in my bed. They think sleeping in my bed is the coolest thing. I kind of like having them there too when Troy is gone.

Today, we picked up Emma Catmul (Kaela's buddy) and the four of us headed down to the Gateway Mall (another weirdo hangout.) The girls wore their swimsuits and had a great time playing in the fountain there. They also really liked trying clothes on and giving me a fashion show.

It was all great fun and we can't wait to see what becomes of tomorrow!

There really is a mom to this family!

I'm the one in the middle-sandwiched between two of my running friends, Amy & Joanna. Little Emma is to my lower right.

Troy's 38th Birthday

We celebrated Troy's birthday today. Grandpa John and Grandma Shirley came for dinner. We had Troy's barbequed Terriyaki Salmon, that was so yummy, and Mom's chocolate cake. We had fun chatting with Grandpa and Grandma about days past and the kids loved snuggling with the puppy.

Here's Grandpa John and Grandma Shirley

Anna's Birthday Party

Anna had her 9th Birthday on the 11th. Her party was on Friday the 13th (doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo.) Luckily, nothing went wrong. She had a party "tiedye" for!

Cute Anna has such a fun personality!
